This page shows some of my architectural studies, both from class work in my Interior and Architectural Design courses, and independent pursuits. For certain documents, line weights may display incorrectly based on your computers user preferences. All line weights in floor plans and construction documents are originally designed to give a sense of visual hierarchy.
This is an ongoing document.

Below, is a hand drafted construction drawings set. The floor plan of the house is completely custom designed with his own interests and ideal functions in mind. Most notable is the woodshop and the art gallery space. In the gallery, notice the furniture selected - as his Wall Hanging Vanity, Gossamer Shelf, and Talavera Table are present within. This construction drawing set was 1 of only 3 individuals' projects submitted by the program for accreditation committee review.
For this project, me and my group were tasked with creating a mixed-use development for a theoretical client, but based on a physical development plot - which we visited in person in National City, CA. We designed this property so the clients could live close to their business (a high-end Mexican/Italian fusion restaurant), as well as accrue supplemental income by renting out the two ground floor units. Project was designed to adhere to CBC and IBC regulations.
Tasked with developing a single family residential home with an accessory dwelling unit (ADU),  complying with state and local codes while designing for the clients unique needs and interests - such as; Grandmas old age, her art and paintings, and bird watching, Moms love for cooking and gardening, Dads fish tank and need for a home office, and lastly, the children's hobbies.
This portfolio is showcasing the work done throughout the Fall of 2023, completed in Art 251 (Introductory Interior Design). An Interior Architecture project focusing on the concept of expansion; from initial conception to final modeling, worked on throughout the entirety of the semester.
In this project, I was thinking about the differences between what is considered a House, and what is considered a Home, and how those elements are present within the design of a space. From there, I designed a Parti diagram which represented the House v. Home relationship, and that diagram went on to be the basis of the floor plan for the residence. Severe limitations were placed on the programming and allotments within our designs in order to help us narrow our thoughts.
This portfolio is an architectural document is showcasing the work completed in this course - Art 250 (The Contemporary Interior: Ideas and Narrations) throughout the semester of Fall 2023. This class focused on three main group projects. All projects were created with the same two, talented partners. Through these projects, we learned the use of Rhino, Grasshopper, 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, and CNC Machining. In certain project models, I brought in knowledge and techniques from my own woodworking experience.
For this construction document set, we were tasked with redesigning our own classroom to better fit the needs of the Interior Architecture program and it's students. Me and my partner decided on a program which featured open transparency though the use of glass walls separating the various rooms. This allowed for everyone to be in view and assessable to each other, but would not allow noise to transfer between spaces. Additionally, with the use of an internal hallway, other IA students could make use of the back spaces, without interrupting an ongoing class. All FF&E was found through online catalogs and distributors, or designed and modeled by me.
This brief document outlines the electrical layout plan in a remolded, enlarged woodshop, in order to aid the electricians with the installations of additional electrical outlets in the space. Each piece of equipment residing in the space was taken into account to decide on the voltage and amperage of each socket.
